Work Package 3
Work package 3 is a quantitative work package. This means that its focus will be on measurement with numbers. The work in work package 3 will involve two different types of quantitative analysis in Scotland and England.
Researchers in work package 3 will :
-
Compare changes in outcomes between different local authority areas experiencing different levels and types of progress in implementing community wealth building. For example, researchers may compare how physically healthy people are between areas of Scotland which are making good progress with community wealth building, and how physically healthy people are in areas of Scotland who are not making as good progress with community wealth building as other parts of Scotland.
-
Look at whether the timing, extent and nature of community wealth building in different areas in Scotland is associated with a change in health and intermediate economic outcomes.
Researchers may use metrics such as mortality, life satisfaction, mental wellbeing, and quality of life from neational health surveys that are filled out by people living in Scotland, to conduct their analyses.
